Updates

Sorry no pictures, but I have to share this. Zack poo pooed in the potty last night!!! I put him on the toilet with the potty ring before his bath and he had a tiny poo. He started clapping and said he pottied. I said no you went poo poo and we celebrated, so he had to get down and check it out. He tried again and didn't produce anything, so I put him in the tub. Then he said he needed to potty again, so I decided to entertain him and put him on the small potty chair. He then pooed again and got up and looked (and tried to touch), sat back down and went again and looked. He probably did this 4-5 times and was so proud of himself. Now we have to see if it was a fluke of if he is starting to get it. We are slowly getting there!

On another note. Zack still has goop and matted eyes from the ear infection. He went to the doctor last Wednesday and they gave him an antibiotic. Tuesday his eyes weren't looking any better, so I called the doctor again and they prescribed eyedrops. We have to give them four times a day for seven days. Zack's arms are going to be so bruised by the end of the seven days. He absolutely hates them and we have to hold him down and pry his eyes open - four times a day. His eyes looked much better this morning after only 3 applications yesterday. He still had a little bit this morning, but nothing like before.

Hopefully his eyes will clear up soon, so I can resume taking pictures. Right now his eye lids are so red. He looks like a drug addict.

I really don't have any tips. Its all him. I ask him if he wants to go while I'm filling up the tub, he always answers yes and sometimes he goes and sometimes he doesn't. We clap and cheer when he goes. He gets excited and stops his stream immediately, or last night had to get up and look at the poo.

He had a diaper rash on Saturday from his medicine, so I let him run around with no diaper on under his jammies and he immediately peed all over himself. We still have a long ways to go!

I'm dreading the potty training stage..... I told my husband he'll have to take the lead on that because I don't know the first thing about teaching how to aim!!! :) Sounds like Zack's on the right track though! I hope his eyes feel better soon.....

That is GREAT news!!! Teagun still has yet to go on the potty. Driving me a little insane! My one nephew was trained by 22 months and the other by a little after 2. Teagun is no where near ready. I am hoping by this summer he will show some more signs and we can really crack down!
