Wyoming - Part 1

Last week we drove 1,200 miles away to the small town of Encampment, Wyoming for the Bush Reunion. It was a long drive, but the kids did wonderful with minimal meltdowns and fights.

We had beautiful weather during the day and cool at night. Ryan decided to sleep in the tent with his brother in law, while the kids and I were able to sleep inside the house. The first night Ryan and George woke up the other campers at 4 AM with laughter from being so cold and the wind so strong. Zack did spend one night in the tent, thankfully it was the warmest night there.

Zack was the event planner on the first full day. He organized a game of Duck, Duck, Goose. It quickly turned into a game of Full Contact, Tackle, Duck, Duck, Goose. I had the video camera out to capture that action, so I need to upload the video.

We ate VERY well in Wyoming. Not only did we have Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast, but also BUSH pancakes in honor of the reunion.

potatoes and some dogs for the kids

Uncle Tim, our host, also cooked made a prime rib for the reunion. No fried chicken at this reunion! Ryan's step mom cut him a special piece. He did his best, but wasn't able to finish it and had people lined up to take a bite.

We also had a delicious carrot sheet cake to celebrate everyone's birthdays. I think I tossed a nut at Ryan and the next thing I know, cake is being flung everywhere. I grabbed my camera and the nearest kid and ducked for cover.

the cake stuck really well to Rick's freshly shaved head.
