Wyoming Revisited

Two months later, here are the final pictures from our family vacation to Wyoming in July. We spent a day in the mountains walking on the trails.

Zack was on a bear hunt, so Ryan took him down the hill to see if they could find any signs of bears.

Outer Banks Newborn

In Outer Banks we also did a newborn workshop with the adorable Sophie. She was 8 days old and the perfect model for 11 photographers. Here are some of the images I captured.

First Haircut

On Tuesday Addison got her haircut for the first time. She did great and I was proud of her for choosing the pink car over the other more masculine rides.

Zack always requests that he gets his haircut at the firetruck place over other salons. I never complain too much because the kids get a free ice cream at Cold Stone with their haircut and I get an excuse to order some for myself and eat their leftovers too.

I'm not very happy about Zack's hair, but it will grow back. I told the lady to trim it and give him a cleaner cut, but not too short. It is now the shortest that it has ever been. He got lots of second glances today at school. She is lucky that we got ice cream out of the deal.

Addison - 23 Months

Addison is quickly growing up. Our days at the lake are numbered for the year. She has grown up so much over the summer and has really came out of her shell. In the spring she would cling to me and keep her head buried in my chest, so she wouldn't have to make eye contact with anyone. Now she is leading me, or wondering off by herself if I'm not watching, to visit friends and greats everyone by name with a friendly hello.

Addison LOVES to sing and dance. Last week at school they learned, If You're Happy and You Know It. It has quickly became her favorite song. Her favorite verse is, Shout Hurray!. She does it with so much enthusiasm and animation. I have a feeling she'll be a cheerleader.

She loves the baby swing at the lake. It is always the first thing she goes to at the playground.

Labor Day weekend she finally got the guts to go down the curly slide. Most of the summer she'd go to the top of the playground by the slide and then was too afraid to go down, so I'd have to recruit an older kid to help her back down or fish her out myself.

Outer Banks - The Girls

Friday evening we hit the beach with our cameras. We were definitely catching the attention of the other vacationers. We looked like paparazzi chasing someone famous.

Here are Shey, Andrea, Amber, Laura, Kerri, Kelly, and Becky

A military plane happened to fly over us as we were on the beach. This was on 9/11 and we weren't quite sure if we should take cover or not.

Outer Banks Workshop

I returned yesterday from a long weekend with ten photographer friends in Outer Banks, NC. Amber was gracious enough to invite us into her family's amazing home on the beach. The weekend was filled with photography workshops and relaxation on the beach.

Saturday we took pictures of the cutest family on the beach at sunset. Here are some of the moments that I was able to capture.
