Two Year Old Sneak Peek

On Sunday I had the pleasure of playing with McKenna in the leaves. She has the most beautiful complexion and I love love love the curls. Don't let Aunt Pam come close to you with her Chi, HA!! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Hiking

On Saturday Zack and I went to the botanical garden near our house and hiked on the trails. I received a new camera on Friday, so I was dying for even a semi-willing subject. The leaves were beautiful and the little man and I had a great time together. There were a couple moments that I was worried about finding our way back to the car and about the creepy woman that kept appearing and asking my little chatterbox all kinds of questions that he happily answered. She did point us to the correct trail to get out of the woods, but I was worried about a trap when the trail starting going down hill instead of up.

Sunday morning I found a tick on Zack's back. Ryan removed it and I am still waiting on a call from his pediatrician to make sure he got it all. We have been avoiding the children's museum and other fun places in fear of H1N1 and other illnesses. The kids got pink eye on our last visit to the children's museum, now I want to add hiking trails to the list of places to avoid. It is either going to be a long winter or one filled with illnesses and bug bites.

Florida Bound

On Saturday we said goodbye to my parents. They have had enough of the Indiana weather and are now soaking up the sun in Florida for the winter. I requested one picture of them and the grand kids before they left, but after a long day of birthday partying and missed naps this was the best picture of the bunch.

Note to self: don't suggest a picture right after treat bags are passed out, especially treat bags with monster teeth inside.

It's Fun to be Two

On Sunday Addison and I spent that afternoon at the park. We smelled
stinky feet, raced, tickled and had lots of laughs on a beautiful fall day. Here are some pictures of my favorite two year old.

Addie BEE Turns Two

We had a fun-filled birthday weekend. Saturday we had a combo birthday party for Addie and my niece Lindsey who is turning five. We did a Halloween costume theme for the girls with lots of candy and sugar.

We said goodbye to my parents, who left this morning to spend the winter in Florida. I'm waiting for the first call from the beach bragging about the sun and cold beer.

Today the boys spent the afternoon bonding over popcorn and a movie. They saw, Where the Wild Things Are, and had a great time together. It has always been their special book and I've never been allowed to read it to Zack.

Addison and I went to the park for some mother-daughter-camera time, while the boys were at the movie. She cooperated for some two year old pictures, yay!, played on the playground and ended the day with a trip to McDonald's for a happy meal. Park pictures coming soon.

Here are some pictures from the birthday party. Addison had at least four "cookie tops" before she got cut off. Luckily we had a bounce house to help burn off some of the sugar.

Trouble

Addison is set to enter the terrible twos with a bang. Every time we turn our back on her she is into something she shouldn't be in. If I'm at a distance then she'll look up with an evil smile and continue the mischief. If I am close enough to stop her then she'll throw what ever she is playing with in hopes that I never saw it in her hands. Yesterday it was a pair of Zack's scissors that got chucked across the kitchen as I approached her.

She also loves to provoke her big brother, in hopes that he'll wrestle with her. Zack is usually involved in something and not in the mood to be hit and tackled by his little sister and ends up hurting her. When it does work out that he plays along, then she is in heaven rolling around on the living room floor with him.

Here is Addie at 23 1/2 months old.
