More Disney

I ordered a few pictures from Disney's PhotoPass that I didn't capture.

Leading up to our trip, Zack found out that there was a Pokemon store at Epcot. That was what he was most excited about seeing in Disney. He picked out Pikachu, the yellow stuffed animal in the picture, at the store. Pikachu never left his side for the rest of the trip and still gets lots of love at home.

I explained in my last Disney post that my camera ran out of memory space as we were meeting Cinderella. I didn't get a picture of Cinderella spinning Addie.

and a group picture of all of us

52 Weeks. My Kids and I. Week 3

Ryan tried a couple of times to participate in Manuary. Lucky for me he knows what is good for him and shaved the goofy mustache after a couple of evil glares and a few choice words from myself.

Here is our tribute to Manuary.

I feel like my mother yelling, "This is not a gymnasium!" Unfortunately it doesn't do any good in my household because my husband is leading the rumpus.

52 Weeks. My Kids and I. Week 2

I made it two weeks! woo hoo!! This week's pictures feature Addison. Zack was too busy watching Pokemon and what little light that was left was slipping away fast.

Speaking of Pokemon, Zack has been obsessed with Pokemon since August when school started. I had no idea it was still popular with kids.

Today on the drive home from school Zack asked me if he could have real Pokemon, as in more than one. I suppose if Mickey Mouse is real then it only makes sense that Pokemon are real too. I told him that I didn't think Sammy, our dog, would get along with Pokemon and they would fight in the house and tear it up. I don't want thunder bolts going off in the house. He said he'd keep them in his room and only let them fight outside. Sammy would get used to them and may even learn some moves. For every excuse I had he had an answer. I finally told him that if we can find a real Pokemon, then he can have one. I really don't want him to grow up.

Disney - Day 4

We decided to save the best park for last, Magic Kingdom. It was also the warmest day we had in Disney. To say the Magic Kingdom was busy would be an understatement. We got there early and road on The Tea Cups and Dumbo before the crowds got too heavy.

Addie was starting to rebel. It took her a lot of convincing to meet Woody. She was only interested in meeting Cinderella. Three days in Disney and no Cinderella is a long time to wait.

Grandma Sharon, Addie and I immediately went to meet Cinderella after Woody. Addie was so excited. She told me, "Mommy, I don't want Cinderella to sign my book. I want to dance with Cinderella." We stood in the long line and when it was Addie's turn she immediately froze and got shy.

Then my camera said I was out of memory. I was soooo upset with myself. Apparently videos take up a lot of space. I got one shot of Cinderella and missed Belle in her yellow princess dress. She was disappointed at Epcot because Belle had the blue dress on. I also missed Sleeping Beauty, who was Addie's BFF the day before at Epcot.

One of Addie and Cinderella after I quickly deleted who knows what from my memory card. Cinderella started telling star struck Addie goodbye, so I spoke up and told Cinderella that Addie really wanted to dance with her. Cinderella started to spin Addie, but she wouldn't move her feet. They both decided to spin their dresses instead. It was really sweet.

The castle lit up with Christmas lights.

That was the end of trip to Disney World. We are glad we went over Christmas, saw the lights and decorations, and our family was able to join us, but next time we will definitely choose a less busy time of year to visit.

52 Weeks. My Kids and I. Week 1

I'm starting a 52 weeks photo project. Every week I'll have my picture taken with the kids. Hopefully I will stick with it for the year. I have already decided that my weeks are going to run Monday to Sunday, so I have the full weekend to have the picture taken.

Week 1.

Ryan decided he didn't want to be left out, so he is joining the project too.

Disney - Day 3

Our third day in Disney World was spent at Epcot. Addie spotted Minnie Mouse inside the character meeting area, so we broke up while the others went on a ride.

They came back from the ride and let Ryan inside to watch Addie and the characters, but they wouldn't let Zack come.

Zack wasn't too happy.

Addie met her first princess, Sleeping Beauty, and instantly had a new BFF. Addie gave her the biggest and longest hug. I had to tell her multiple times to have her sign the book before she stopped hugging.

After signing she still didn't want to leave she sat on Sleeping Beauty's lap for the longest time and I finally convinced her to tell her goodbye and then she wouldn't stop hugging again. She was in heaven and it was the highlight of my trip.

We were so happy that the weather finally warmed up and we could get some Mickey ice cream.

After standing in a long line for The Beast, we were told Belle was coming soon. Addie and I got back in the long line again. She was a little disappointed that it was Belle in the blue dress. She really wanted Belle in her yellow princess dress.

Disney - Day 2

For our first Disney park we chose to visit Hollywood Studios. We really wanted to see Magic Kingdom first, but decided to save it for a warmer day. We visited Disney during the busiest time of the year, so Ryan took the lead to make sure we got the most out of our visit. He made everyone wake up early, so we could get there as the park opened and before they got too busy. He wasn't a big hit with the teenage girls in the family. He and Grandpa Jim stayed on top of the fast passes so we were able to ride most of the rides without a long wait.

This year Zack didn't care too much about the characters. He really wanted to ride the rides. I have a love/hate relationship with the Tower of Terror. We explained the ride to Zack and even let him watch on You Tube. He decided that he wanted to ride it. Let me just say, he was much braver than his mom on the ride. We bought the picture of us on the ride. I am screaming and have a death grip around George's arm, while Zack sat next to his dad like nothing was happening.

Some characters on a chilly morning.

Stevie, Riley, and Stevie's friend Cassie joined the family for the trip.

Zack and Lightning McQueen. Addie thought the roaring of his motor was too loud and didn't want to stand next to Lightning.

Addie wasn't too sure about Mike Wazowski until I showed her Boo's door behind him. She has a stuffed Sully holding Boo at home and also loves the flowers on her door in the movie.

mmm, Mickey ice cream.

It started getting cold again at night and everyone was tired, but we were really excited to see the Osborne Family Lights. They were very cool.

A video of the Osborne lights as they were flipped on.

and a video of Addie enjoying them while on Grandpa's shoulders.

Disney - Day 1

After visiting my parents we then went to Disney World. Ryan's side of the family also went with us and we all met up at Downtown Disney. We needed to get autograph books, Christmas ornaments, park tickets and other random souvenirs, plus yummy food.

Addie and Zack in line to meet Santa Goofy, our first character. I think they spotted him.

We rented a house near Disney. We also exchanged our Christmas gifts this night. Here is a group pic, minus two.

Grandma bought all the grandkids Disney jammies.

Goodnight! Tomorrow is Hollywood Studios!!

Christmas Day

Luckily Santa remembered that Zack and Addie were visiting grandma and grandpa in Florida and he didn't pass them by. Here are some snaps from our day.

Addie and her new American Girl Bitty Baby

Lined up and the princesses even shared their shoes with those that didn't have matching shoes.

My dad wanted to take us out in the boat before the wind picked up, so we went fishing in the late morning. We had a great time in the boat and both kids said it was their favorite thing they did at grandma and grandpa's.

The girls played with the naked princess Barbies while the boys fished.

Grandpa got a bite and called Zack over to help reel it in.

Zack caught a 13" flounder

He was proud of himself, but didn't want to get too close to it.

Here is a video of Zack's big catch.

One last picture with grandma and grandpa before we left for Disney World.
